Position Details: --- Title: Maintenance Technician --- Location: Antioch, IL (halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee, on the IL/WI border) --- Shift/Schedule: 3rd shift (four 10-hr shifts, Mon - Thurs, 8p - 6:30a); occasional partial shift on Fridays --- Compensation: Target base rate -$28/hr - $30/hr + $2/hr shift premium --- Benefits: Company offers an industry-standard, comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical / Dental Insurance; Life / AD&D Insurance; Flexible Spending Accounts; Short- and Long-Term Disability; Vacation; 11 annual holidays; 401K with employer match; etc Position Description: As a Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift, you will be responsible for advanced repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. This role is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the entire manufacturing operation including shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions. You must have the maturity and confidence to work autonomously, as you often will be the only maintenance technician during the shift. Some other specific responsibilities include: --- Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned. --- Read and understand manuals, technical drawings, schematics. --- Assist with proper documentation of parts inventory. --- Understand how to set up and run production assets as a secondary responsibility. --- Perform PM and repair tasks on all facets of Company facility and property. --- Understand and perform all Company safety procedures and policies including proper LOTO procedures. --- Efficiently operate the maintenance computer system for time entry and work order generation in accordance with Company standards. --- Troubleshoot basic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic issues. --- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees, working as a team player. --- Strive to perform in a highly effective manner to ensure customers receive excellent service and a quality food safe product. --- Support Company Brand Essence by performing in a highly responsive, collaborative, mindful, and personal manner. --- Responsible for all Food Safety policies, procedures and standards including compliance with the following: o Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) o Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) o Knife Policy; Glass and Brittle Plastic Policy o Sanitation Procedures; Pest Control Procedure; Non-Conforming Product Procedure In order to be successful in this role, you should have exceptional hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with electrical and mechanical elements of industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, hydraulics, PLCs, pumps, etc.
