Classification: Exempt Salary Range: $47,500 to 67,500 Reports to: Director IT Date: March 2024 Job Description We are seeking a qualified IT help desk technician to assist our customers with questions and problems concerning computer systems, hardware, and software. The technician will work with customers remotely and in person, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency. Standout candidates will be excellent problem-solvers with outstanding communication and customer service skills. Essential Functions --- Provide quick and effective assistance with assigned helpdesk tickets. Create, and document all problems and resolutions. --- Update customers on the status of open tickets while providing accurate and professional resolution on all supported issues. --- Guide customers remotel y and in person through systems configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.--- Listen attentively to customers' questions and concerns and offer optimal solutions. --- Prioritize customer satisfaction in all communications, directing unresolved issues to next-level personnel. --- Communicate customer feedback to the appropriate internal team members. --- Diagnose and solve computer issues. --- Install and train end users in new technologies as needed. --- Back up and restore data files as needed. --- Repair hardware and configure software to maintain operating systems. --- Respond to tech inquiries via email, online chats, by phone, or in person. --- Improves system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes. --- Participate in educational opportunities and maintain personal networks. --- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by management. Skills and Qualifications --- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent --- 2 to 3 years of previous experience working as an IT help desk technician or in a similar support role with information technology or systems administration. --- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software. --- Exposure to food manufacturing environment a plus --- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills --- The ability to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions. --- Patient, friendly demeanor with a great aptitude for listening --- Strong verbal and written communication skills --- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service. --- Tech savvy, with experience working in a tech-related field preferred. --- Ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of technical issues. --- Team-oriented mindset with an openness to constructive feedback --- Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems. --- Multilingual preferred Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional food manufacturing environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods as well as lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and is exposed to extreme cold from refrigeration. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position .The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm but may vary depending on the needs of the business. .
