Job Description SNI Companies is working with a Business Services company located in Middlesex County, NJ who is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will work with the accounting team and assist with A/P and bookkeeping duties. This role is 100% person working on site. Responsibilities: * Process check requests and provide check copies of inquiries as needed. * Process weekly California Tax payments and assist with any state or federal payroll audit. * Conduct Stop Payments on payroll checks as needed and general banking inquiries. * Investigate and resolve returned items from bank partners. * Conduct credit card analysis and process expense reports. * Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions as needed. * Utilize financial System to account for all debits/credits and ensure proper documentation has been included. * Process drawdown requests. * Process monthly commissions. * Assist with maintaining SUTA rates in the accounting system. * Help with month-end preparation, processing, closing, and reporting. * Process EFT transactions and check requests. * Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion. Qualifications: * Associate degree, preferred in Accounting or Finance. * 2-5 in similar accounting position * Experience applying financial accounting practices. * Experience with Accounting software and basic accounting functions. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. * Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and time management skills * Ability to work independently and display initiative.
