Your team is bigger than your department: * UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City. * We believe healthcare is a team sport and every player has something to contribute. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame. * Consistently demonstrates competence, compliance and accurate documentation during care delivery in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice, and Hospital & Departmental Policies and Procedures. * Routinely cares for patients' and families' needs and/or performs department specific activities with excellent organizational skill, efficiency and appropriate fiscal accountability. * Provides excellent customer service, teamwork and communication using the SBAR communication principals during all interactions of job role. * Continuously synthesizes and evaluates assessment data to gain a comprehensive clinical picture and effectively uses supervisory skills and nursing process to independently and collaboratively anticipate, intervene and deliver excellent patient care. * Actively contributes to clean, safe, positive and professional work and patient care environment. * Actively participates in professional development, professional organizations, unit counsels, quality improvement initiatives promoting personal and institutional growth and improvements. Qualifications Job Requirements: * ADN required * Must maintain current Texas RN License * BLS Required
