The candidate will provide legal advice, representation, and assistance to plaintiff-employees throughout all stages of their cases, including litigation at various levels. Strong analytical writing, communication, and negotiation skills are essential. Duties:Represent injured plaintiff-employees in their North Carolina workers’ compensation cases.Provide legal advice and representation during all stages of workers’ compensation cases.Assist injured plaintiff-employees in obtaining benefits under the NC Workers’ Compensation Act.Litigate workers’ compensation cases at the Deputy Commissioner, Full Commission, and Court of Appeals levels.Draft pleadings, discovery, orders, motions, and briefs.Negotiate settlement agreements and releases/job resignations on behalf of plaintiff-employee clients.Utilize Microsoft Windows/Office and various software programs, including Litify software. Requirements:Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.License to practice law in North Carolina.1-3 years’ experience practicing as an attorney in an established law firm.Plaintiff’s workers’ compensation experience preferred. Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:License to practice law in North Carolina.Experience:1-3 years’ experience practicing as an attorney in an established law firm.Plaintiff’s workers’ compensation experience preferred. Skills:Exceptional analytical writing and verbal communication abilities.Outstanding interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs.Experience using Litify software is preferred.
