Group Financial Controller Location: London : optional Hybrid (3 days in the office) : some international travel Reporting: Report into the Group FD and manage 3 regional controllers and a team of 15 Salary: A GBP 75,000 with some flexibility plus benefits and bonus We are supporting a great accommodation, bar and restaurant business who are growing and strengthening their finance division. This business is a brilliant mid size business, circa A GBP 50 million turnover and they are currently operating across the UK and Europe. The Group FC will provide financial information to the Group FD for presentation to the Board and external parties. Responsible for the internal control environment and integrity of the Groups financial records. Assisting with the medium and long term financial strategy for the Group in accordance with the business strategy. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and SKILLS Degree holder Part or full qualified ACCA or CIMA Proven and practical experience of applying competencies at the levels detailed below Required Relevant financial experience in a senior management position preferably in the food, Required Accommodation or F and B hospitality sector experience Broad knowledge and understanding of accounting systems Knowledge and understanding of relevant accounting standards : UK GAAP EEA and IFRS accounting directives Knowledge and understanding of Taxation including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and Benefits in Kind Knowledge and understanding of Corporate strategy and administration Excellent team work and leadership skills as well as communication and relationship knowledge THE POSITION Leadership Manage and develop the Finance division and team. Creating an environment to encourage a sense of responsibility, involvement and ownership. Promoting best practice and encouraging personal ownership of self: development.
